Introduction: The context is place in which we design and build. When beginning a project, a designer will visit the place and record its characteristics. The characteristics include many aspects including climate conditions, physical characteristics like trees and streams, soil conditions, slopes, orientation to the sun, proximity to other built objects, etc.
Problem Statement: For this project your context will be reduced to a stepped plane. We know the direction of south and the height of the step, but no much more information about the site. This will give us an opportunity to focus on issues of space and arrangement.
Using chipboard, construct the site model as shown below. The scale will be 1/8"=1'-0".
Assessment: Your site model will be assessed on precision and neatness.
